Hello all, I am Mrs. Allie Wheeler, principal at Beaver Creek School. I have been at Beaver Creek School for 11 years and am very happy to call Rimrock home. I have taught everything from fourth and fifth grade to middle school math and social studies, to middle school art. I have been the athletics director for the past three years and the student success coach and am very excited to step into the role of principal. I have three children who all go to or have gone to Beaver Creek and a wonderful husband. We have loved becoming part of this wonderful community and look forward to many more years of getting to know you and your children. Happy learning!

My dad was a teacher at Tucson Unified. He told me I was crazy to go into teaching, but I did anyway. After graduating from college in Tempe in 1981, I began my teaching career in a second grade classroom at Paradise Valley School District. I moved to the middle school where I taught computers, social studies, and Spanish...oh, and met my husband. We moved to Chino Valley to raise our children and chickens. I finished my masters in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University. I left the classroom after twenty years. After being a principal at Liberty Traditional School for three years, I felt called to come to Beaver Creek as the principal and superintendent. I began as a Creeker in 2004 and love being here. The families are wonderful. The community is amazing...just look at the new buildings paid for by taxpayers voting in a bond. The only reason we come to work every day is to make a difference in the lives of our students. Thank you for entrusting your children to us!

I was born and raised in Rimrock where my family has deep roots. I began with Beaver Creek School in 2016 as a paraprofessional in order to share a schedule with my two young children. Over the years, I have grown my skills with the great mentoring of the past administration and am proud to be the business manager for the district. My children have grown and moved on to high school, but I remain dedicated to our wonderful district. I cherish all the wonderful relationships I have gained with staff and students each year and look forward to the fresh start of a new school year!

I have been a part of the Creeker Family for almost 20 years and have lived in Rimrock for 40 years. I am a proud Arizona native. My time at Beaver Creek School has included 8 years as a governing board member and 12 years working at the district level in various capacities including accounts payable and procurement and food service director. I started working at Beaver Creek so I could have a job near my children when they were enrolled here, and I had the opportunity to work close to my home. When I am not working I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, and traveling.

It is a pleasure to be joining the staff of Beaver Creek. Kindergarten is my favorite place to be. I love all of the first experiences we get to share. I have two grown children and am adding to the list of other favorite things…grandkids! When I’m not at school, I love to be riding a Harley or a horse!

With a B.A. in elementary education and an M.Ed. from Northern Arizona University, I bring more than twelve years of experience teaching students from 2nd through 5th grade—most of that time right here in the beautiful Verde Valley. I am originally from the Navajo Nation near the Grand Canyon, and the legacy of education, support, communication, and dedication from my community continues to guide and inspire my work in the classroom.

As a proud mother of three boys—Brenden, my talented artist; Rickey, an enlisted Marine; and David, my creative athlete—I understand the importance of nurturing each child’s unique strengths and potential. This belief shapes my teaching every day.

I am grateful to teach at Beaver Creek School, a place I admired long before I ever stepped foot on campus. The strong leadership, organized and supportive staff, and deep community involvement make it a wonderful environment for both students and teachers. I believe in hands-on learning, strong and supportive curriculum, and a classroom where every child—regardless of level, background, or grade—can grow and thrive. My mission is to help all students build confidence, curiosity, and the skills they need to become active, capable members of society.

I have been with Beaver Creek School since the 2016/17 school year. My classroom runs on caffeine, laughter, and the randomness of what kids think and do. I became a teacher after working as a colorguard/tall flag advisor at Orange High School in California and teaching art and life skills at Northern Arizona Boys & Girls Clubs in Cottonwood and Sedona. When I'm not at school I enjoy spending time with my family and doing what I call "gansta granny" activities, like gardening and embroidery.

I started at Beaver Creek in 2018 as a paraprofessional, and it didn’t take long for me to realize that I wanted to become a teacher. I’ve been fortunate to work at such an amazing school where I’ve been supported and encouraged every step of the way. During this journey, I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Grand Canyon University. Over the years, I’ve gained valuable experience in kindergarten, first, third, fifth, and middle school, and I’ve loved watching our students grow and learn at every stage. When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids, traveling as often as we can, and getting lost in a good book.

Hi! I’m Melisa Pincelli, and I’ve been teaching art at Beaver Creek School since 2023! I love helping students explore their creativity, try new ideas, and see the world in new ways through art. Originally from California, I spent five years teaching English in South Korea and have traveled to 26 countries—experiences that inspire the stories, colors, and ideas I bring into the classroom. I’m also a proud mom of a Beaver Creek student and the owner of Cattle Guard Antiques and Gifts. Being part of this community, both in school and beyond, is something I truly treasure! • Lux-Herrera Jessica
Jessica Lux-Herrera Special Education Teacher Send message » 928-567-4631

I have been a special education teacher for approximately 17 years, and this will be my fourteenth year at Beaver Creek School. To say I absolutely love and adore all children is an understatement. Working with special needs children is my passion. Seeing their faces and their eyes light up when learning a new concept is what drives me to be their number one cheerleader. I want my students to know that they are capable of anything they put their minds to and with hard work and perseverance, they can achieve any goal they set their minds to. Learning comes in many different ways as well as success, and we celebrate every milestone my students achieve. I love teaching, and I also love learning from my students. Every year I will continue to advocate for my students and teach them to advocate for themselves so they can be the very best they can possibly be. I so look forward to working with my students this year and watching them become smarter, more confident, and knowing they always have a safe and loving environment when they are away from home.
