Happy May 2012

We have a busy month ahead as we celebrate finishing testing and teachers and students enjoy the last weeks together.

Congratulations to all 1st to 6th graders who finished 7 month of Macro Math booklets.  They are going swimming!

The 4th and 5th Graders get to attend an Environmental Science Camp overnight on Mingus Mountain.  We are looking for chaperones...especially men to help chaperone the room at night!

Our first play in the new Cafetorium will be one NOT to MISS-Once Upon a Mattress directed by Charity Worden.

The 6th - 8th graders will be making their annual trek on Bell Trail with Mr. Franklin (if they can run the wash).

Kindergarten and 8th Grade Graduation will be held the last week of school at 7 PM.

The last day of school is Friday, May 25th, and we will dismiss at noon.  The award assembly starts at 8:15.  Please feel free to join your student for the morning.

June 4 - 22, Monday through Friday, Summer Activities will include academic summer school by invitation only and other fun activities in the afternoon.  Be looking for the flyer to register.  The Beaver Creek Library will also begin the Summer Reading Program during those weeks.  (There will be a limit on registrations.)  Breakfast and lunch will be free for all children in the community during those days.

Tax Credit Donations

Tax Credits help fund Field Trips, Athletics, Music, Science, and Afterschool Programs. Consider giving what you can to the school up to $400 families and $200 for a single person. Checks must be postmarked by December 31, 2012.
